All dance contests should be commentated by those old timey sportscaster guys, it would make them eminently more enjoyable. If you don’t follow dance movies, the Step Up kids are currently going ‘all in’, a betting term suggesting that all of their chips are on the table, with the consequent potential to ‘win big’. A number of popular characters from across the series will be returning, including Hank ‘Dancebody’ Herman, Goose, Sergeant bodylock, and Greedo. The trailer suggests that there will be dancing involved.
At this stage it’s impossible to tell who will be crowned champions of the big dance match – apparently the producers just wound these kids up and set them loose, so that even they didn’t know who would ultimately win the big prize, and the final third of the film is almost entirely unscripted.
