Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

All I’m saying is, the fields were ripe for harvest, and were left tragically un-reaped. All it would have taken was one little pun. Unless any of these were in Rise of the Planet of the Apes? Or one slipped through my net in this one? To be fair I did go and see it with my six month old daughter, so there was a small degree of distraction present.

I can definitely recommend Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, it was a great film. I actually missed Rise – or rather, I thought I might have seen it, but it turns out what I’d actually seen was the 2003 remake with Mark Wahlberg, which was nowhere near as good as this movie. The apes were convincingly ape-y – my one complaint there would be that they were able to speak and communicate through sign language, which I’m not sure is typical for apes in the wild. Actually hold on, that might have been the point. Andy Serkis evidently did a great job as Caesar, his CG monkey generating volumes more character than real life Mark Wahlberg in the 2003 film. If you like watching films, then this might be a good film for you to go and watch. Enjoy!
