Mr & Mrs Smith 2 takes places 5 or 6 years after the original. The plot mirrors that of the first film almost entirely – however in this one, the married assassins each discover that the other has been living a double life as a high end confectioner. Also, all of the drama from the first has been replaced with slapstick pie throwing.
