I always thought it was pretty great that, for a truly high end shaving brush, you can do no better than badger hair. To quote the wiki:
“Proponents of wet shaving claim that badger hair is the finest and most luxurious material possible.[citation needed]”
Better still, the available grades of badger hair go from “Pure badger” to “Best Badger”. Enticing right? You’re probably thinking that best badger is the top of the line, but you are dead wrong. We go straight on up to “Super Badger” (possibly harvested from mutant/alien badgers), and the grand daddy, “Silvertip”. Legend has it a silvertip badger is only born once in a thousand years, they can grow to the size of a new Ford Fiesta, and their claws are sharp enough to cut diamonds.
Needless to say, it was only a matter of time before the shaving companies wised up to the fact that they were missing out on some of the best parts of the badger, and decided just to wedge the whole thing in there. Buy now while stocks last.
