He’s whistlin’ a happy tune! It occurs to me that Yondu’s incredibly deadly weapon of choice, an arrow which murders people in response to tuneful whistling, might lead to some slight complications if you temporarily forgot it was hanging from your belt. I’m just saying – a light breeze on your face, the taste of freedom on your tongue – that’s whistle reflex territory right there.
Went to see Guardians of the Galaxy a couple of nights ago (from which today’s comic springs) and it was fantastic. My ideal film would generally fall in the region of sci fi-comedy-action, so this is right in my wheelhouse from the outset – but this is a really well put together piece of cinema.
