According to the BBC, men appeared to have some degree of evolutionary defence against punches. Take that, fists! Not being a professional scientist, I imagine the science on this one pretty much involved punching a whole heap of volunteers, and also possible going to a museum of anthropology and punching all the stuff there too.
Today’s comic is an homage to Ryan North’s Dinosaur Comics, one of the first webcomics I got into, and a trove of comedic genius. It uses the same image for almost every comic, with only the text changed – a tactic which seems incredibly appealing to me every so often. Cunningly, you can replace the dinos with characters from a handful of other comics if you put “butiwouldratherbereading” into the link – for instance http://www.qwantz.com/index.php?comic=548&butiwouldratherbereading=nedroid.
